Chet Holmgren (rest) is not on the injury report for Wednesday’s game against the Nets.
Holmgren sat out Monday’s overtime loss to the Timberwolves, as it was Oklahoma City’s second game in as many nights. His return means Cason Wallace will drop to the bench, where the second-year guard offers minimal fantasy value.
  • OKC Point Guard #22
Cason Wallace shot 5-of-11 from the field in Monday’s loss to the Timberwolves, tallying 12 points, six rebounds, one assist, one steal and two three-pointers in 34 minutes.
With Chet Holmgren sitting for injury management reasons, Wallace made his first start since returning from a shoulder injury that sidelined him for seven games earlier this month. The second-year guard provided solid value in his 34 minutes on the court, but Aaron Wiggins was more productive despite coming off the bench. Playing 29 minutes, Wiggins tallied 19 points, seven rebounds, two steals, one block and one three-pointer. While Wiggins offers the higher offensive ceiling and is the preferred player to roster in fantasy, Wallace is the superior on-ball defender and picked up extra minutes with the Thunder needing to account for Anthony Edwards’ presence on Monday.
  • OKC Point Guard #22
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Cason Wallace, Luguentz Dort, Jalen Williams, and Isaiah Hartenstein will start Monday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Monday’s game is the second meeting in as many nights between the Thunder and Timberwolves, with the former winning the first. Chet Holmgren will not play, and his absence has opened up a place in the starting lineup for Wallace. The second-year guard played well as a starter while Holmgren was out with a fractured hip earlier this season, and he’s worth streaming in this spot.
  • OKC Shooting Guard #21
Aaron Wiggins accumulated 15 points (4-of-6 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), one blocked shot and four three-pointers in 19 minutes during Sunday’s win over the Timberwolves.
Wiggins made at least four three-pointers in a game for the fifth time this season. The season-long fantasy value remains low, but he’s been excellent over the past month. Providing sixth-round value in nine-cat formats, Wiggins has averaged 16.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.5 three-pointers per game, shooting 52.2 percent from the field and 90.5 percent from the foul line. Cason Wallace (six points, two rebounds, two assists and one three-pointer in 22 minutes) missing time with a shoulder injury opened the door for Wiggins, who took advantage of his opportunity.
  • OKC Point Guard #22
Cason Wallace returned to the lineup on Friday and contributed 10 points (4-of-6 FGs), three rebounds, five assists, two steals and two three-pointers against the Jazz.
Wallace was sidelined for Oklahoma City’s final seven games before the All-Star break, but he was back in the lineup on Friday. He came off the bench in his first game back, but he has been a starter for most of the season. With Chet Holmgren now healthy, it’s unclear if Wallace will return to the starting lineup in place of Isaiah Hartenstein eventually, though it could be matchup dependent. Regardless, Wallace will play a significant role on the perimeter for OKC for the remainder of the season and supply a healthy dose of a steals.
  • OKC Point Guard #22
Cason Wallace (shoulder) and Alex Caruso (hip) have been removed from the injury report for Friday’s game against the Jazz.
Wallace and Caruso will be available for Friday’s game, with the former’s return being more impactful. Wallace has missed Oklahoma City’s last seven games with a strained right shoulder, resulting in Aaron Wiggins moving into the starting lineup. As for Caruso, the February 13 loss to Minnesota was the first game he’d missed since February 3. Wallace should return to the starting lineup, pushing Wiggins to the bench.
  • OKC Point Guard #22
Cason Wallace (shoulder) and Alex Caruso (hip) have been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Wallace will miss Thursday with a strained right shoulder and Caruso will sit out with left hip tightness. Isaiah Joe isn’t an on-ball guard, but could benefit from this duo not playing by getting up some extra shots alongside some boosted playing time.
  • OKC Point Guard #22
Cason Wallace (shoulder) and Ousmane Dieng (leg) will be out for Wednesday’s matchup with the Heat.
The rest of Oklahoma City’s injury report is pretty clear, so the absences of Wallace and Dieng shouldn’t cause major ripples across OKC’s depth chart or any hard decisions for fantasy managers.
  • OKC Point Guard #22
Cason Wallace (shoulder) will miss Monday’s matchup with the Pelicans.
Wallace will miss a fifth-straight game and, with Isaiah Joe (knee) also sidelined, more work could be available for Aaron Wiggins and Alex Caruso.
  • OKC Point Guard #22
Cason Wallace (shoulder) is out for Saturday’s game against the Grizzlies.
Saturday’s game will be Wallace’s fourth straight missed due to a strained right shoulder. Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe have played more in his absence, with the former moving into the starting lineup. That may remain the case on Saturday due to Chet Holmgren (rest) being out.
