Bruno Fernando shot 0-of-2 from the field and 1-of-2 from the foul line in Saturday’s 108-88 loss to the Knicks, scoring one point with five rebounds and two blocks in 21 minutes.
Fernando made his first start since November on Saturday, as Alperen Sengun was ruled out with a sore back. And Bruno did not offer much value to the few brave souls who streamed him outside the rebounds and blocked shots. Usman Garuba had a better night despite coming off the bench, playing 19 minutes and finishing with five points, eight rebounds, and two blocks, and there was even a Boban Marjanovic (six points and three rebounds in eight minutes) sighting. But the true takeaway from Saturday was how valuable Sengun is to Houston’s interior rotation.
