Bilal Coulibaly (hamstring) will be out for 4-6 weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury on Monday against Toronto.
The timeline puts an earliest return date at April 10, and by then, the Wizards will have just two games left on the schedule. Fantasy managers should consider Coulibaly’s 2024-25 season over. Assuming he doesn’t take the court again this season, he finishes his sophomore campaign with 12.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.7 blocks and 1.1 triples across 33 minutes per game. Justin Champaignie will be the biggest beneficiary from a fantasy hoops standpoint.

Bilal Coulibaly (hip) is out for Thursday’s game against the Pistons.
Coulibaly missed Tuesday’s game against the Pistons with a hamstring injury and has now been ruled out for Thursday’s rematch with Detroit with a hip injury. Justin Champagnie figures to see more minutes and usage with the 20-year-old shooting guard sidelined.

Bilal Coulibaly (hamstring) will miss Tuesday’s matchup with the Pistons.
Coulibaly sustained the hamstring injury on Monday against the Raptors, and unsurprisingly, he’ll be out for the second leg of Washington’s back-to-back set. Justin Champagnie should see additional playing time with Coulibaly sidelined.

Bilal Coulibaly (hamstring) will not return to Monday’s game against the Raptors.
Coulibaly, who had a scary fall on a dunk attempt and landed on his back, will not return to Monday’s game due to tightness in his right hamstring. The Wizards wing played eight minutes, finishing with four points, two rebounds and one assist. With Coulibaly done for the night, Justin Champagnie will play additional minutes off the bench.
  • WAS Center #20
Alexandre Sarr posted 10 points, 14 rebounds, three assists and a block across 28 minutes in Sunday’s win over Toronto.
Sarr tied his career-high in rebounds while finishing with his seventh double-double of his rookie campaign. Toronto was steamrolled in the paint, as Bilal Coulibaly (18 points, 10 rebounds) and Richaun Holmes (10 points, 11 rebounds) posted double-doubles of their own. Sarr’s 5-of-16 shooting performance left much to be desired on offense, but fantasy managers will certainly take the boards.

Bilal Coulibaly (knee) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Magic.
Coulibaly lands on the injury report due to a left knee contusion he suffered during Friday’s loss to the Bucks. He played 31 minutes but had minimal impact on both ends of the floor. If Coulibaly cannot play against the Magic, that may open the door for Bub Carrington to re-enter the starting lineup. Carrington was moved to the bench on Friday to make room for Khris Middleton, who started his Wizards debut.
  • WAS Point Guard #36
Marcus Smart accumulated five points (2-of-3 FGs), one rebound, one assist, two steals, and one three-pointer in 17 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Bucks.
Smart, who was recovering from a hand injury at the time of his deadline day trade from Memphis to Washington, was used in a reserve role on Friday. And, to no one’s surprise, the production was minimal outside of the two steals. Smart will likely be more valuable to the Wizards as a mentor for their young talents, especially defensive wings Bilal Coulibaly (7/5/4 in 31 minutes) and Kyshawn George (4/9/5/1/2 with one three-pointer in 34 minutes), than to fantasy managers. Marcus is rostered in 12 percent of Yahoo leagues, and that number should decrease in the aftermath of Friday’s showing.
  • WAS Shooting Guard #9
Justin Champagnie (rib) has been downgraded to out against the Cavaliers on Friday.
Champagnie has been a consistent part of Washington’s rotation lately, but he hasn’t played a large enough role to be worth rostering in fantasy basketball. His minutes will likely be divided up between Kyshawn George, Bilal Coulibaly and Corey Kispert, which should give all of them a slight boost.

Bilal Coulibaly finished Wednesday’s win over Brooklyn with 11 points (5-of-9 FGs, 1-of-1 FTs), 10 rebounds, 11 assists, two steals, and one blocked shot in 31 minutes.
Coulibaly recorded his first triple-double on Wednesday and was also responsible for three defensive contributions. However, the second-year wing was also accountable for a season-high six turnovers. Fantasy managers should focus on the positives regarding the Wizards’ younger players, as they will have nights like this. And don’t look now, but Washington has one its last three games. Coulibaly should play plenty down the stretch as the Wizards continue to evaluate their draft picks and attempt to improve their draft lottery odds.

Bilal Coulibaly finished Monday’s 124-114 win over Charlotte with 26 points (9-of-16 FGs, 4-of-5 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, two steals, and four 3-pointers in 37 minutes.
Coulibaly came out hot on Monday, scoring 18 points in the first half. That’s a career-high for points in a half for the second-year wing, who has eight 20-point games to his credit this season. The issue for Coulibaly managers is that the offensive production has been limited. Before Monday, he had not scored 20 or more in a game since December 26 against the Hornets (20). The minutes will be there, especially with Washington effectively playing out the string. That makes Coulibaly a player worth holding onto, especially if the Wizards move a few of their veterans at the trade deadline.
