Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) says he expects a timeline of 4-to-6 months before he’s cleared to resume 5-on-5 activities.
On March 2, it was announced that Dosunmu would undergo season-ending surgery to address instability in his left shoulder. The procedure hasn’t occurred yet, but the Bulls guard is facing a lengthy recovery period. Dosunmu’s absence means more playing time for Dalen Terry, who has yet to establish himself as a player worthy of consistent rotation minutes.

Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) is set to undergo season-ending surgery.
Dosunmu was having a healthy February before he suffered a shoulder injury against the Knicks. He returned from a three-game absence for one contest before shutting down for the year to undergo surgery. Lonzo Ball appears set to take on a featured role as a starter for the rest of the regular season with Dosunmu out of the picture.

Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) has been ruled out against the Pacers on Sunday.
Dosunmu made his return from a three-game absence on Friday and was able to play 23 minutes off the bench. However, the same left shoulder will keep him on the sidelines for Indiana’s next game. Kevin Huerter (knee) and Tre Jones should see extra minutes off the bench with Dosunmu out.

Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) and Jalen Smith (concussion) are available for Friday’s game against the Raptors.
Dosunmu and Smith have missed the Bulls’ last three games. While the former’s return will likely mean fewer minutes for Dalen Terry and Tre Jones, the latter may not be as impactful in fantasy basketball circles. Zach Collins should remain the starter as the Bulls continue without the injured Nikola Vucevic. That limits Smith’s fantasy potential, although he will get rotation minutes.

Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) is questionable for Friday’s matchup with the Raptors.
Dosunmu has missed three straight but has a chance to return against the Raptors. If he’s unable to go, Tre Jones and Kevin Huerter could help to pick up the slack.

Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) is out for Wednesday’s game against the Clippers.
Initially questionable, Dosunmu still has soreness in his shoulder and will miss a third straight game. His absence has freed up additional minutes for Kevin Huerter and Tre Jones. While the latter can provide assists and a low turnover count, Huerter offers a higher ceiling in the points and three-point categories.

Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) is questionable to play against the Clippers on Wednesday.
Dosunmu injured his shoulder in Chicago’s first game after the All-Star break, which has forced him to miss their last two games. Billy Donovan said on Saturday that there isn’t a “timetable” for Dosunmu’s return, but apparently he could be back against Los Angeles. If he suits up, he should play a significant role off the bench, which would take away from Kevin Huerter and Tre Jones.

Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) remains without a return timetable.
Dosunmu has been healthy throughout the early stages of February, but now it’s unclear when he’ll suit up again. Lonzo Ball has an opportunity to step into a more prominent role while Dosunmu is on the mend.

Ayo Dosunmu (shoulder) is questionable to play against the Suns on Saturday.
Dosunmu exited early from Thursday’s loss to New York due to left shoulder soreness, and it may keep him sidelined against Phoenix. Dosunmu had been starting, but he was pushed to the bench in favor of Lonzo Ball on Thursday. If Dosunmu misses Saturday’s game, Tre Jones and Kevin Huerter will likely take on extra minutes.

Ayo Dosunmu played 28 minutes in Thursday’s loss to the Knicks, scoring five points (2-of-8 FGs) with five rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one three-pointer.
With Lonzo Ball back from a case of the flu, Dosunmu returned to the bench on Thursday. Unfortunately, he appeared to suffer a left arm injury during overtime, checking out with a little under two minutes remaining. While Dosunmu did not return, he stayed on the bench and appeared fine after the game’s conclusion. More concerning for fantasy managers is the lackluster production in a reserve role. The good news is that he’ll play quality minutes, especially with Patrick Williams (knee) out for two weeks. Thursday wasn’t great, but don’t overreact.
