According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Anzejs Pasecniks is signing a two-way deal with Milwaukee.
Washington waived Pasecniks in 2020-21 and he’s looking to making an NBA return after playing in Spain and France over the past few seasons. There’s no clear path to him becoming a part of the Bucks’ rotation in 2024-24, though.

The Wizards have waived Anzejs Pasecniks.
He wasn’t able to get into the rotation even after Thomas Bryant (knee) went down, but now the Wizards will be able to add another guy, as they currently only have 14 guaranteed contracts on the books with the waiving of Pasecniks.

  • LAL Small Forward #28
Rui Hachimura hit 6-of-18 shots, 3-of-9 3-pointers and 5-of-6 free throws for a team-high 20 points, five rebounds and one assist in Tuesday’s 126-113 loss to the Bucks.
Rui didn’t shoot it well or do much outside of scoring and hitting threes, but he came through if you started him tonight. Ish Smith came off the bench to score 19 with five dimes, Jerome Robinson started and scored 15, Thomas Bryant had 13 points, eight boards and a block, and Isaac Bonga and Anzejs Pasecniks each scored 10. The Wiz will wrap up their lost season on Thursday against the Celtics and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Hachimura and his bench brigade try to go out with a bang in a meaningless finale. They also interestingly started Troy Brown Jr. at point guard and he finished with nine points, six rebounds, three assists and a 3-pointer on 3-of-15 shooting. Ouch.

Anzejs Pasecniks (stiff neck) played three minutes vs. the Knicks on Tuesday without any stats.
He has as much fantasy value as coach Scott Brooks right now. As long as Thomas Bryant and Moe Wagner are active, Pasecniks will just be emergency depth for the Wizards.
  • FA Center #18
Anzejs Pasecniks (stiff neck) will be available to play on Tuesday vs. the Knicks.
He’ll be available, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll actually get out there. Leave him on the wire.

Anzejs Pasecniks (stiff neck) is questionable to play on Tuesday against the Knicks.
He’s very rarely involved in the rotation.
  • ORL Power Forward #21
Moritz Wagner started at center on Wednesday, but he played only 15 minutes to finish with six points, eight rebounds, one assist and one steal.
Thomas Bryant was out tonight for ‘injury management’ purposes related to his nagging right foot injury, but Wagner didn’t fare well in this matchup vs. Hassan Whiteside. Bryant is dealing with a stress reaction that he aggravated before the All-Star break, so the Wizards are wise to be cautious -- expect more DNPs as the season winds down. Bryant has only been playing 16-24 minutes anyway, but when he’s out there’s more breathing room for Wagner, Davis Bertans (27 minutes) and Anzejs Pasecniks (16 minutes).
  • FA Center #18
Anzejs Pasecniks played 11 minutes and scored three points after missing Friday’s game with an illness.
Pasecniks could be in line for a bigger role after Ian Mahinmi got a DNP-CD tonight. But Thomas Bryant and Davis Bertans should get most of the big man minutes, assuming Mahinmi stays in the doghouse in Washington.
  • FA Center #18
Anzejs Pasecniks (illness) is out for Friday night against the Jazz.
The Wizards are already going three deep at center with Ian Mahinmi, Thomas Bryant and Moe Wagner, so Pasecniks wouldn’t be in the rotation anyway.
  • FA Center #18
Anzejs Pasecniks was a DNP-CD on Friday against the Cavs.
The Wizards have their centers healthy now, so Pasecniks won’t be in the rotation.
