The Chinese Basketball Association will resume playing on June 20 to conclude their 2019-20 season.
Games will be held without fans in the arenas, and the experience could prove instructive for the NBA as they navigate the complexities of playing ball in the midst of a pandemic. Many former NBA players are signed with teams in the CBA, and it remains to be seen whether they travel to rejoin their teams. The list includes Dominique Jones, who ranks first in the CBA in scoring at 37.8 points per game, Antonio Blakeney (second in scoring), and Tyler Hansbrough (32.3 points, 13.4 rebounds, 1.7 steals, 1.4 assists and 0.6 blocks).

  • CHI Shooting Guard #9
Antonio Blakeney has agreed to a deal to sign with Jiangsu in China.
He can fill it up on offense with 17.9 points per 36 minutes for his career, but he has some holes in his game and the Bulls had no space for him after bringing in Tomas Satoransky and Coby White.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #9
According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Antonio Blakeney and the Bulls have reached an agreement on a contract buyout.
Blakeney appeared in 57 games for Chicago last season, including three starts. He averaged 7.3 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 14.5 minutes per contest, while shooting 41.9 percent from the floor. This move has no impact in fantasy circles. Blakeney will become be a free agent after clearing waivers.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #8
Zach LaVine (thigh) and Otto Porter (rotator cuff) will remain on the sidelines for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards.
The Bulls are tanking and only have three more games remaining on their regular-season schedule after Wednesday, so we’ve almost assuredly seen the last of these two this year. Shaquille Harrison, Wayne Selden and Antonio Blakeney will pick up the slack in their absence.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #9
Antonio Blakeney earned his third start of the season on Wednesday, finishing with 10 points (3-of-11 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs), four assists and three rebounds in 32 minutes vs. the Blazers.
Chicago was playing without four members of their normal starting five, allowing Blakeney to take on a far larger role than usual. He didn’t have any steals, blocks or 3-pointers tonight, and he was inefficient as a scorer, so it was basically a bust in most leagues. Lauri Markkanen is done for the season and guys like Otto Porter, Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine could follow suit, so Blakeney is at least worth adding to your ‘watch lists’ for streaming potential.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #9
Antonio Blakeney will return to the starting lineup for Wednesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
The Bulls will be without Kris Dunn (back), Zach LaVine (thigh), Lauri Markkanen (rest) and Otto Porter (shoulder) tonight, so Blakeney could be stepping into a feature role on offense and is someone to consider throwing out there in DFS. Joining him in the starting group will be Shaquille Harrison, Brandon Sampson, Wayne Selden and Robin Lopez.
  • LAC Point Guard #8
Kris Dunn (back), Zach LaVine (thigh), Otto Porter (rotator cuff) and Lauri Markkanen (illness) have all been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Trail Blazers.
Gross. The Bulls won’t have any of their star players on the floor tonight, and with only nine guys available, Antonio Blakeney could be stepping into a feature role on offense. Ryan Arcidiacono will draw the start sans Dunn and should get all the run he can handle, so he’s someone to consider as a streamer or DFS punt play tonight.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #9
Antonio Blakeney came off the bench on Tuesday, hitting 5-of-15 shots for 11 points, six rebounds, three assists, a steal and a 3-pointer in 21 minutes.
He lost his starting job to Wayne Selden tonight and Selden played very well, meaning Blakeney could continue to come off the bench. Blakeney hasn’t been doing much of late, and we’d much rather take a flier on Selden or Ryan Arcidiacono if Zach LaVine, Otto Porter and Kris Dunn are going to continue to miss games.
  • NBA Small Forward #11
Wayne Selden will replace Antonio Blakeney in the starting lineup for Tuesday’s matchup with Toronto.
Blakeney hadn’t been doing much with the starting group, so Jim Boylen will switch things up and give Selden the starting nod. In his previous five starts this season, Selden has registered averages of 10.8 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 treys per contest on 55.6% shooting, so he’s on the radar as a 3-pointe specialist in deep leagues.
  • CHI Shooting Guard #9
Antonio Blakeney made a start for Zach LaVine (thigh) on Wednesday, scoring two points with four rebounds, one assist and one turnover in 23 minutes.
He lost minutes to Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot late, and Blakeney isn’t exactly a Jim Boylen kind of player. Even if LaVine is out, Blakeney is a risky player to stream for points.
