  • ORL Point Guard #0
According to a report from The Orlando Sentinel, Black suffered the injury during his last Summer League outing. He won’t play against the Timberwolves on Wednesday.
Black posted a modest five points and six assists in his last Summer League performance. His absence will give other guards more of a chance to impact games.
  • ORL Small Forward #22
Franz Wagner is questionable for Friday’s matchup with the 76ers due to a right ankle sprain.
Wagner missed both games of Orlando’s Tuesday-Wednesday back-to-back set, but he’s got a chance to suit up for the Magic’s penultimate game of the regular season. If Wagner is unavailable, more minutes should be available for Joe Ingles, Anthony Black and Gary Harris (available).
  • ORL Point Guard #20
Markelle Fultz (left knee injury maintenance) has been downgraded to out for Friday’s game against the Clippers.
Fultz has been downgraded after initially being listed as questionable. He played 16 minutes as a starter in their last game, but with Gary Harris back, Fultz would likely have returned to the bench. Joe Ingles and Anthony Black will fill out the perimeter bench minutes alongside Cole Anthony.
  • ORL Point Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (right thigh contusion) and Markelle Fultz (left knee strain) are questionable for Wednesday’s matchup with Brooklyn.
Both players practiced Tuesday, and according to Magic reporter Dan Savage, “their availability for the game tomorrow will depend on how they respond to [Tuesday’s] session.” If one or both players are sidelined against the Nets, Gary Harris, Caleb Houstan, Cole Anthony and Anthony Black would all be candidates to handle additional minutes.
  • ORL Small Forward #2
Caleb Houstan missed both of his shot attempts in Sunday’s 111-97 loss to the Pacers, going scoreless with two rebounds and one assist in 22 minutes.
Due to Jalen Suggs and Markelle Fultz being sidelined, Houstan moved into the starting lineup on Sunday. Unfortunately, he offered very little in the way of production. The same can be said for fellow starter Gary Harris (five points, one rebound, one assist, and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes) and reserve guard Anthony Black (two points, two rebounds, and one steal in 11 minutes). Even if Suggs remains sidelined, there’s no need to consider rostering Houstan or Harris. Orlando plays three games in Week 20, beginning with the Nets on Wednesday.
  • ORL Point Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (right thigh contusion) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Pacers.
Suggs was held out of Friday’s loss to the Knicks, with Gary Harris filling the void in his return to the lineup. Orlando could again go with a starting backcourt of Harris and Anthony Black, but neither has offered much fantasy value in that role. Suggs returning would bump Black to the bench.
  • ORL Shooting Guard #14
Gary Harris played 24 minutes in Friday’s loss to the Knicks, accounting for five points (2-of-5 FGs), one rebound, one assist, and one 3-pointer.
Harris returned to the starting lineup after sitting out Wednesday’s win over the Wizards due to right calf injury maintenance. With Jalen Suggs (thigh) sidelined, this could have been a night for Harris to provide additional value, especially in the 3-point category. Unfortunately, he offered little; the same can be said for Anthony Black. Missing all five of his field goal attempts, the rookie went scoreless with two rebounds in 22 minutes. Even if Suggs remains sidelined for Sunday’s game against the Pacers, there’s no need to consider adding Harris or Black. Friday’s performances confirmed that.
  • ORL Point Guard #4
Jalen Suggs (right thigh contusion) has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Knicks.
Suggs is unavailable for Friday’s game, but his absence will coincide with Gary Harris’s return after he sat out Wednesday’s win over Washington. This should keep Anthony Black in the starting lineup, but the rookie has offered limited fantasy value in that role.
  • ORL Point Guard #0
Anthony Black shot 3-of-5 from the field in Wednesday’s 119-109 win over Washington, scoring eight points with one rebound, two assists, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 22 minutes.
Black shot the ball well on Wednesday, but the spot start did not significantly increase his playing time. His minutes decreased compared to Tuesday’s win over Charlotte, in which the rookie played 28 minutes. Rostered in one percent of Yahoo leagues, Black is ranked outside the top 250 in 9-cat per-game value over the past two weeks. Cole Anthony was a better choice for fantasy managers needing a streamer with Gary Harris (calf) sidelined, as he tallied 11 points, seven rebounds, and one blocked shot in 24 minutes off the bench. Anthony is rostered in 27% of Yahoo leagues but is not worth adding, as Harris should be available for Friday’s game against the Knicks.
  • ORL Center #34
Wendell Carter Jr. (right knee soreness) has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against Washington, and Goga Bitadze will start in his place alongside Anthony Black, Jalen Suggs, Franz Wagner and Paolo Banchero.
Carter Jr. was a late addition to the injury report, and now he has officially been ruled out. Bitadze and Black replace WCJ and Gary Harris (calf) in the starting unit for this game, though Moritz Wagner should also see a large role off the bench.
