DeClercq has been on the injured list since undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee on Feb. 9. He’ll assume the roster spot vacated when Rod Strickland was waived.

Andrew DeClercq said he might be sidelined until January or later if he needs more surgery after reinjuring his right knee.

DeClercq, who missed the preseason while rehabbing the knee, said he tore cartilage in a different place while jumping during a non-contact drill last week. An MRI showed new tears.

DeClercq has been slow to recover from offseason knee surgery. He’ll act as a reserve center once healthy. Kasun (left knee tendinitis) and Hunter (Achilles’ tendinitis) aren’t hurt.
