Admiral Schofield (illness) has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Timberwolves.
Schofield is a late addition to the injury report, and his absence leaves the Magic with ten active players for Tuesday’s game. This will not impact fantasy basketball, as Goga Bitadze and Moritz Wagner are available.
  • ORL Power Forward #21
Moritz Wagner accumulated 19 points (8-of-14 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, and two 3-pointers in Friday’s 122-120 win over the Nuggets.
With Goga Bitadze (illness) and Wendell Carter Jr. (knee) sidelined, Wagner moved into the starting lineup and shouldered most of the workload in the middle. He held his own against two-time MVP Nikola Jokic, recording a double-double while shooting better than 50% from the field. Wagner being able to avoid serious foul trouble was critical, as Admiral Schofield (five points, one rebound, one assist, and one 3-pointer in nine minutes) was the only other “center” available (Schofield is 6-foot-5). Orlando ends its week with a home game against the Hawks on Sunday; Wagner would be in line for another start if Bitadze and Carter remain sidelined.
  • ORL Small Forward #25
Admiral Schofield has agreed to return to Orlando on a two-way contract, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Schofield has played in 75 games over the past two seasons for the Magic, but he hasn’t been able to establish a consistent role. He will likely spend the majority of next season in the G-League, which won’t leave room for much fantasy production.
  • Small Forward #25
Admiral Schofield (sprained right ankle) is available for Tuesday’s game against Cleveland.
Schofield should play rotation minutes Tuesday night, but it won’t be enough to impact fantasy basketball.

  • Small Forward #25
Admiral Schofield (right ankle sprain) is questionable for Tuesday’s matchup with Cleveland.
Schofield’s role for the Magic is minimal, so his status for this game won’t have a large impact on fantasy basketball.

  • Small Forward #25
Admiral Schofield (concussion protocols) has been ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Bucks.
Schofield was injured during Sunday’s loss to Portland and will miss at least one game. Look for rookie Caleb Houstan to pick up additional minutes, but he isn’t worth rostering in fantasy leagues.

  • Small Forward #25
Admiral Schofield (concussion) will not return to Sunday’s matchup with the Trail Blazers.
Schofield earned a full contract just a couple of weeks ago, but he’s only been a depth piece for Orlando this season, He played eight minutes in the first half on Sunday and hit a 3-pointer. Caleb Houstan will likely fill his minutes in the second half, but he won’t be worth rostering in standard leagues.

  • Small Forward #25
Admiral Schofield’s two-way contract has been converted to a standard NBA contract through 2023-24, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Schofield has averaged just 4.6 points and 1.9 rebounds across 13.0 minutes per game in 27 contests this season. Even if this contract means a few extra minutes or additional games played, we can’t imagine him being viable outside the deepest of fantasy leagues.

  • Small Forward #25
Admiral Schofield is out Friday against the Jazz due to a coach’s decision.
Schofield has averaged just 13.3 minutes per game this season and collected numerous DNP-CD’s, so his absence won’t be felt by most fantasy managers.

  • ORL Power Forward #21
Moritz Wagner has been suspended two games for his role in the altercation between the Magic and Pistons during Wednesday’s game.
Wagner kicked things off by hip-checking Killian Hayes out of bounds while the two ran for a loose ball during the third quarter. Hayes responded by hitting Wagner in the back of the head in front of the Pistons’ bench, and multiple Magic players left their bench to join the fracas. Wagner will miss games against the Thunder (January 4) and Grizzlies (January 5). Wendell Carter Jr. and Mo Bamba have been suspended for Friday’s game for leaving the bench area, meaning Admiral Schofield (suspended for the Thunder game) will see more minutes off the bench. He is worth streaming in deep leagues for Friday’s action.
