Las Vegas Motor Speedway is in the process of tearing down 15,000 grandstand seats in Turns 3 and 4 in order to construct a “high-end hospitality area” and a RV area with 25 parking spots, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports

The VIP area will be called “Vegas Village” and will be targeted toward corporate race fans. The new area will replace the one that accommodated 10,000 people and was located just behind the grandstand.

The RV area will be named the “Vegas Veranda” and each 30 foot wide parking spot will cost $8,000 during the weekend of March 6, when the Sprint Cup Series visits for the Kobalt 400.

“These RV customers want a white-glove experience,” Chris Powell, Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s president, told the Review-Journal.

The “white-glove experience” includes free Wi-Fi, continental breakfasts, garage tours, scanners to listen to driver/team communications, access to a lounge, a 10 percent gift purchase discount and eight passes. There’s also dry cleaning and a 30-pack of Bud Light from concierge.

The new RV parking is in addition to the two existing lots on the backstretch.

LVMS tearing down 15,000 grandstand seats comes a year after fellow Speedway Motorsports, Inc. tracks Atlanta Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway removed 58,000 seats combined.
