The driver of the No. 48 car hits the inside wall at Pocono.

Jimmie Johnson’s team pushed his car to the garage with less than 40 laps left after he crashed on a restart Monday at Pocono Raceway.

Johnson finished 35th.

Crew chief Chad Knaus asked how Johnson was after the incident and Johnson’s reply was: “I’m just ... angry.’'

Johnson was in traffic racing with Casey Mears when his car slid in Turn 1, clipped Brad Keselowski’s car and hit the inside wall. He drove the car to pit road, and the team pushed it back to the garage.

This will mark the third race Johnson has finished outside the top 20 in the last five races. He placed 22nd at Talladega and 25th at Dover. He was 17th at Kansas and third in the Coca-Cola 600 before Pocono.
