The opening lap of the INDYCAR Grand Prix of Sonoma saw trouble immediately hit Alexander Rossi.
Rossi, who trailed Dixon by 29 points entering Sunday’s race, suffered contact as the green flag waved, which damaged the front wing of his No. 27 Napa Auto Parts Honda for Andretti Autosport.

The damage forced Rossi into the pits for a new front wing, and dropped him to 25th and last in the running order.
Dixon, along with Josef Newgarden and Will Power, were able to avoid trouble on the opening lap.
