Last night’s announcement where Sage Karam’s No. 24 Gas Monkey Garage/Comfort Revolution Special for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing-Kingdom Racing got revealed and confirmed wasn’t the only part of Gas Monkey Garage’s race program announced for 2016.
Additionally, the No. 33 Riley Motorsports Dodge Viper GT3-R in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and Alex Laughlin’s Chevrolet Camaro in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series also have signage from Gas Monkey Garage adorning their cars this year.
The Viper, which has ViperExchange.com support and a four-driver lineup of Jeroen Bleekemolen, Ben Keating, Marc Miller and Dominik Farnbacher for the Rolex 24 at Daytona, will have its car swapped over to the Gas Monkey Garage colors for that race, and possibly the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring as well.
In NHRA, Laughlin’s Camaro will take on these colors starting with the season opener at Pomona next month.
Richard Rawlings, the principal of Gas Monkey Garage, has been a successful car restoring business in Dallas with a unique style.
The Garage staff travels the state of Texas and surrounding states to find forgotten classic cars to buy and restore. The Gas Monkey Garage brand is one of the world’s most visible logos in the automobile industry and will also launch its Energy drink products this year.
