Firestone will sponsor Indoor Karting facility in Speedway, Indiana

Karting

When a new Indoor Karting facility opens in Speedway, Ind., in April, it will be sponsored by tire manufacturer Firestone.

Speedway Indoor Karting is a 14-turn road course owned by Verizon IndyCar team co-owner Sarah Fisher and husband Andy O’Gara. The facility is located at 1067 Main St., in the shadow of Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

“I’ve enjoyed a dynamic relationship with Firestone for more than 15 years through both my roles as an IndyCar driver and team owner, so it’s a pleasure and a privilege to work with them in this capacity,” Fisher said in a press release. “Drivers and teams have relied on Firestone’s combination of performance and innovation for more than 100 years, and we’re happy to associate Speedway Indoor Karting with the Firestone brand’s legacy of winning.”

The facility will also feature a banked oval track and the 1911 Grill, a restaurant named after the year of the first Indianapolis 500.

Firestone is a brand of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations.
