The Eagles are expected to rotate rookie Brian Rolle with starter Moise Fokou at weak-side linebacker this week.
Rolle has impressed since the lockout ended in late July, but he’s an undersized sixth-round pick at 5'11/229. Fokou was the Week 1 culprit on Steven Jackson’s game-opening 49-yard touchdown run. Rolle was previously only a nickel ‘backer, so the suspect Eagles linebacker corps is experiencing more turnover. The Falcons should be able to gash them with the run in Week 2.

The Eagles expect S Colt Anderson (torn ACL) and DT Mike Patterson (brain AVM) to be ready for training camp.
Neither player will participate in the Eagles’ mandatory June minicamp, however. Coach Andy Reid also revealed Monday that LB Moise Fokou (ankle surgery) and C Jason Kelce (Lisfranc sprain) will be “good to go” for next month’s minicamp.

The Philadelphia Inquirer believes Eagles LBs Akeem Jordan and Moise Fokou “may face an uphill battle for roster spots.”
Both Jordan and Fokou made seven starts in 2011, but could be the odd-men-out after Philly traded for DeMeco Ryans and spent a second-round pick on Mychal Kendricks. Jordan was the more productive player last season, and with two more years of experience in the Eagles’ system, should have a leg up on Fokou if it becomes an “either/or” proposition.

Eagles placed LB Moise Fokou (ankle) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Fokou suffered the injury, perhaps a high-ankle sprain, in last week’s loss to the Patriots. He had just 22 tackles in 11 games, losing his starting job to Akeem Jordan in Week 10. Fokou is signed cheaply through 2012, but the Eagles should make it a priority to find an upgrade in the offseason.

Eagles LB Moise Fokou was forced from Sunday’s game against the Patriots with an ankle injury, and is doubtful to return.
A reserve, Fokou had yet to make a tackle before going down. He has 22 on the season. If he’s suffered a high-ankle sprain, he’ll likely be sent to injured reserve.

Eagles LB Moise Fokou, placed on injured reserve two weeks ago, underwent ankle surgery Thursday.
The surgery was to repair a high-ankle sprain. Fokou figures to be ready for OTAs in May, but the Eagles may opt to move on in 2012.

Colts acquired LBs Moise Fokou and Greg Lloyd from the Eagles in exchange for CB Kevin Thomas and a 2013 seventh-round pick.
It’s a trade that makes sense for both clubs, which is no surprise considering Colts GM Ryan Grigson comes from the Eagles front office. Fokou and Lloyd were extraneous after the Eagles upgraded to DeMeco Ryans and Mychal Kendricks during the offseason. A 22-game starter over the past three years, Fokou will team with 2011 seventh-rounder Lloyd to provide depth inside in Chuck Pagano’s new 3-4 defense. The Eagles did well to land 2010 third-rounder Thomas while also picking up a draft pick in exchange for two players unlikely to make the final roster.

Titans MLB Colin McCarthy is now working behind Moise Fokou at OTAs.
Fokou took first-team reps during Friday’s practice, while McCarthy ran with the twos. This impending training camp battle is far from settled, but it’s a reminder that McCarthy lacks job security after struggling throughout 2012.

The Eagles have moved Jamar Chaney to middle linebacker, a source tells beat writer Jeff McLane.
Struggling rookie Casey Matthews will stay in the starting lineup at the “WILL” position, with Moise Fokou opposite him at “SAM.” It’s a move that should have been made a long time ago as Chaney is more talented and more prepared to lead the Eagles’ defense. IDP owners should note that Chaney had 40 tackles over the final four games of last season, including the playoffs. He’s a player.

Titans LB Moise Fokou was reportedly arrested in January for driving under the influence of alcohol.
It’s unclear if the Titans knew of Fokou’s arrest when they signed him to a two-year, $2.8 million deal in March. Fokou was formally charged on February 4, and the news came to light recently only because he entered a not guilty plea. The case will go to trial on October 22. An NFL suspension seems unlikely. Fokou maintains his innocence and has never been arrested in the NFL before.
