Robert Murray of FanSided reports that the Yankees have agreed to sign infielder Wilmer Difo.
The Yankees have yet to confirm, but it’s reportedly a split-contract that will pay him $1.2 million if he’s in the majors. Difo, 30, is a .250/.311/.353 career hitter in the majors and spent the bulk of last season with the Diamondbacks’ Triple-A affiliate. He’ll give the Yankees some depth around the infield going into 2023.
