Willy Adames hit a two-run homer, tripled and drove in three runs to help the Giants to an 8-7 win over the Dodgers on Friday.
Adames smashed a solo homer in the second inning, and then tripled home two in the fifth to extend the lead for the Giants to 7-2. The 29-year-old has gone deep 12 times in his first season in San Francisco, while the three RBI increases that total to 48. It’s an undeniably nice night at the plate for Adames, but it’s also been an undeniably disappointing season for him as seen in a slash of .225/.312/.382.

Willy Adames went 1-for-3 with a homer and three RBI on Sunday night, helping to lead the Giants to a 6-2 victory over the Athletics.
Adames got the Giants on the board in the opening inning as he worked a walk off of Jacob Lopez with the bases loaded. He then gave them the lead with a 432-foot (102.4 mph EV) majestic blast off of Lopez in the third. The 29-year-old shortstop added an RBI walk in the fifth inning. His bat has started to show signs of life in recent weeks and he’s now hitting .226/.313/.370 to go with 11 homers and 45 RBI.

Willy Adames scored three runs and doubled twice in a win over the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
Adames now has 13 doubles on the season. One of those two-baggers drove in Mike Yastrzemski to give the Giants a 3-0 lead, and that’s all the offense Robbie Ray would need. Adames is still disappointing with a slash of .218/.305/.358, but he remains a good bet to see significant improvement over the final 75 games.

Willy Adames went 1-for-3 with a solo homer against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
Adames came into this one with just one hit over his last four games. He put the Giants on the board in the second inning with a solo homer off Zac Gallen for his tenth home run of the season. The 29-year-old shortstop is batting .211/.297/.348 with 46 runs scored, 37 RBI, and four steals over 361 plate appearances.

Willy Adames launched a solo homer on Friday, helping the Giants to a 6-2 win over the Dodgers.
Adames gave the Giants an early lead with a first-inning homer off Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto. It was his only hit of the game, but it’s nice to see the 29-year-old starting to show some more power with his second homer in two days. He’s too good of player to be slashing .204/.289/.346 for much longer, and remember, if you acquire Adames now, you don’t take his previous numbers with him.

Willy Adames went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBI in a 10-7 win over the Rockies on Wednesday.
Adames also scored three runs. The homer was a two-run shot off an otherwise-effective Kyle Freeland in the first, and he picked up another RBI in the third with a sac fly. The 29-year-old’s first season with the Giants has not gone to plan, and he was just 2-for-25 in the month of June prior to this outburst. You can’t erase the struggles over the first 68 games, but there’s plenty of reason to believe Adames can be an effective fantasy option over the next three-plus months.

Willy Adames with 1-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in the Giants’ 6-5 win over the Rockies on Tuesday.
Adames drove in the first run of the game on a sacrifice fly in the first inning, bringing Jung Hoo Lee home from first. He then led off the fifth with a solo homer off Carson Palmquist. The home run broke a six-game hitless streak while being his first round-tripper since May 13. Adames drew another walk in the ninth and scored the go-ahead run on a base hit by Mike Yastrzemski. The 29-year-old shortstop is hitting .194/.283/.316 with six homers, 33 runs scored, 28 RBI and three steals across 284 plate appearances.

Giants’ manager Bob Melvin told reporters on Friday that Willy Adames will get a scheduled day off on Sunday.
Adames has played in all 63 games so far this season, so with the Giants being off on Monday, that will give him a full 48 hours to rest and reset. Melvin noted that Casey Schmitt would cover the shortstop position with Adames off. The 29-year-old has really struggled in his first season with the Giants, slashing a cringe-inducing .198/.288/.312 with just five homers, 26 RBI and three stolen bases.

Willy Adames went 0-for-4 with an RBI in a win over the Nationals on Sunday.
Adames drove in the first run of the game with an RBI groundout for his 25th RBI of the season. However, he’s also now gone 18-for-86 in 22 games in May with 28 strikeouts and three home runs. The quality of contact remains solid for Adames, and he’s swinging and missing at a career low rate, but he’s not pulling the ball as much as we’re used to and has the highest launch angle of his career. His BABIP should improve, which should lead to a slight bump in his average, but there are no major signs that he’s getting unlucky.

Willy Adames went 1-for-4 with a triple, a run scored and one RBI in a 3-2 win over the Royals on Tuesday.
Adames put the Giants on the board in the fourth inning with a triple to deep right center field before scoring on a base hit by Casey Schmitt. The triple breaks a three-game hitless streak just as he was turning things around in May. The 29-year-old shortstop is hitting .220/.301/.361 with five homers, 29 runs scored and 23 RBI across 216 plate appearances.
