William Contreras went 3-for-4 against the Rockies on Wednesday.
The All-Star catcher just keeps hitting. Contreras collected three base hits against the Rockies on Wednesday, though didn’t have a run or RBI to show for it. The 26-year-old catcher is slashing an outstanding .297/.357/.449 with 10 homers, 59 runs scored, 51 RBI and five steals across 378 plate appearances.

Bryce Harper led all National League players in voting for the All-Star Game, getting named to his eighth All-Star team.
What remains unclear is whether or not Harper — who is currently stationed on the injured list with a left hamstring strain, will be able to participate in the Mid-Summer Classic. Here’s who will join him in the starting lineup for the National League All-Stars (with their number of times making the All-Star team and starting in the game in parentheses): C: William Contreras (2 - 1x starter), 1B: Bryce Harper (8 - 7x starter), 2B: Ketel Marte (2 - 2x starter), SS: Trea Turner (3 - 2x starter), 3B: Alec Bohm (1 - 1x starter), DH: Shohei Ohtani (4 - 4x starter), OF: Christian Yelich (3 - 2x starter), Jurickson Profar (1 - 1x starter) and Fernando Tatis Jr. (2 - 2x starter).

William Contreras went 0-for-5 on Wednesday, dropping his OPS back under .800.
Contreras has not been getting results for a good month now, but things might be starting to turn around some. He had doubles on both Monday and Tuesday. Today, his four balls in play, one of which left the bat at 107.5 mph, had xBAs of .870, .480, .470 and .260.
  • MIL Catcher #99
Gary Sánchez was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left calf tightness.
It sounds like a precautionary move by the Brewers as it’ll be William Contreras handling the catching duties instead on Tuesday night. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now.

William Contreras is not in the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Pirates.
It appears to be a routine off day for Conteras after handling the catching duties in three consecutive contests. The 26-year-old has put together a phenomenal season so far, batting .293/.354/.443 with nine homers and five steals across 339 plate appearances over 75 contests. It’ll be Gary Sánchez behind the plate in his absence.

William Contreras is back in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Angels.
Contreras is back at designated hitter following a one-game absence for precautionary reasons following a scary-looking home-plate collision over the weekend. The positive development here for the Brewers, and fantasy managers, is that the 26-year-old backstop has been cleared of a potential concussion.

William Contreras is available to come off the bench Monday after leaving Sunday’s game with a head injury.
Contreras hasn’t had any concussion symptoms today, so the Brewers are confident that he’s going to be OK. They did have Gary Sánchez start behind the plate tonight, but Contreras is available to hit and play defense.

Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy said after Sunday’s victory over the Reds that William Contreras is being evaluated for a possible concussion.
Contreras took a glancing blow off of his head or neck on the final play of the game as Blake Perkins nailed the potential tying run at the plate to end the ballgame. The 26-year-old backstop remained on the ground for a few minutes afterwards, but ultimately was able to get up under his own power and was able to celebrate with his teammates. It doesn’t sound like anything serious, but fantasy managers may want to have an alternative option on hand for next week just to be on the safe side.

William Contreras is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Tigers.
Contreras was supposed to get his first day off of the season last Sunday, but he and Willy Adames were both inserted into the lineup later. Assuming the lineup doesn’t change, Contreras will finally get that day of rest. Gary Sanchez is the starting catcher and hitting fifth.

William Contreras went 2-for-3 with a double on Wednesday in the Brewers’ shutout loss at the hands of the Phillies.
There weren’t a ton of bright spots here for Milwaukee as Contreras supplied two of their three total hits, and lone extra-base hit of the contest, as Phillies starter Aaron Nola and a pair of relievers combined on a three-hit shutout.
