    Twins released LHP Tyler Webb.
Webb signed a minor league pact with the Twins last month after spending last year with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League. The 32-year-old southpaw made 22 relief appearances for the Cardinals back in 2021.

Twins signed LHP Tyler Webb to a minor league contract.
Webb spent last season with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League. The 32-year-old southpaw made 22 disastrous relief appearances for the Cardinals during the 2021 campaign, but was an effective middle reliever for several years prior. He holds a serviceable 4.97 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 104/63 K/BB ratio across 121 1/3 innings (139 appearances) since 2017. He gives the Twins some extra organizational relief depth.

Tyler Webb has signed with the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League.
Webb made 22 relief appearances last year with the Cardinals, allowing 26 runs (24 earned) on 22 hits with a 14/19 K/BB ratio across 16 1/3 innings. The 31-year-old left-hander will look to rebuild his value in the Atlantic League this season.

Tyler Webb has elected free agency.
Webb struggled to a calamitous 13.22 ERA, 2.51 WHIP and 14/19 K/BB ratio across 16 1/3 innings (22 appearances) with the Cardinals this season. The 31-year-old lefty has plenty of experience as a reliable big-league reliever, so he should be able to find a new opportunity this offseason.

Cardinals designated LHP Tyler Webb for assignment.
It clears a roster spot for Andrew Miller, who is coming off the injured list on Thursday. Webb made 22 appearances and posted a rather unhealthy 13.22 ERA and 2.51 WHIP over 16 1/3 innings. If he goes unclaimed, he’ll be organizational depth with Triple-A Memphis.

Tyler Webb earned his first save of the season on Monday, working a scoreless ninth inning to protect a one-run lead against the Brewers.
With Ryan Helsley having worked in the first game of the doubleheader, and Genesis Cabrera already exhausted in this one, Cardinals’ manager Mike Shildt turned to Webb to close it out after the Cardinals had scored in the top half of the ninth inning to take the lead. He walked Jedd Gyorko to begin the inning, then got Luis Urias to ground into a double play and struck out Jace Peterson to end the contest. He owns a terrific 2.30 ERA and 1.21 WHIP across 15 2/3 innings with the Cardinals this season -- but is unlikely to usurp the closer’s role and therefore holds very little fantasy appeal.

Cardinals recalled LHP Tyler Webb from Triple-A Memphis.
Webb has posted a 4.45 ERA over 36 appearances in the majors this season. He’ll operate as a lefty specialist.

Cardinals optioned LHP Tyler Webb to Triple-A Memphis.
Webb holds a 4.45 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, and 26/16 K/BB ratio in 30 1/3 innings (36 appearances) this year out of the St. Louis bullpen. Chasen Shreve was called up Thursday in a corresponding 25-man roster move.

Tyler Webb picked up a one-out save on Saturday against the Angels.
Webb came in for Jordan Hicks after he left with an apparent injury, and after walking Luis Rengifo, he was able to get Jonathan Lucroy to ground out to second to procure the victory and give Webb his first ever save. It’s very unlikely we see him see many/any more save chances in 2019.

Cardinals recalled LHP Tyler Webb from Triple-A Memphis.
Webb will give the Cards another lefty in the bullpen to pair with the struggling Andrew Miller. He posted a 1.76 ERA over 18 appearances with St. Louis last season.
