Tucker Davidson has signed with the Lotte Giants of the Korea Baseball Organization.
Davidson elected free agency back in October after being jettisoned from Baltimore’s 40-man roster and will take his talents overseas to rebuild his long-term value. The 28-year-old lefty made one relief appearance last year for the Orioles and posted a solid 3.89 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 104/46 K/BB ratio across 115 2/3 innings (32 appearances, 17 starts) for Triple-A Norfolk.

Baltimore Orioles LHP Tucker Davidson has elected to become a free agent.
Davidson was designated for assignment and sent to Triple-A Norfolk, but he rejected the assignment and elected free agency instead. The 28-year-old split time between the rotation and bullpen this season but spent almost the entire year i Triple-A, posting a 3.89 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, and 104:46 K:BB ratio in 115 2/3 innings (17 starts) for Baltimore. He will look to get a shot at a big league job with another organization.

Tucker Davidson picked up a win while throwing 4 2/3 scoreless innings against the Twins in relief Saturday.
Yes that Tucker Davidson. The left-hander was recalled Saturday to be the bulk guy in a game that had no real meaning for the Orioles, but he pitched well. The former Atlanta prospect was a little fortunate to not give up a run while issuing just one strikeout against two walks with four hits, but credit to him for wiggling out of jams. Davidson is extremely unlikely to be part of the Baltimore pitching staff for the playoffs.

Orioles selected the contract of LHP Tucker Davidson from Triple-A Norfolk.
Davidson will likely eat some innings for Baltimore on Saturday either as a starter or a reliever. Bryan Baker was optioned to the minors to make room on the active roster. The Orioles previously had a spot open on the 40-man roster.
  • BAL Third Baseman #64
Orioles reassigned INF/OF Diego Castillo, INF Errol Robinson, OF Daniel Johnson, RHPs Wandisson Charles and Chayce McDermott and LHPs Cade Povich, Tucker Davidson and Luis González to minor league camp.
At least Castillo doesn’t have to pack up and head to another organization this time after stints with five different teams during the offseason. Charles is probably the most notable inclusion in the latest batch of cuts as he seemed like a decent bet to stick in the Orioles’ bullpen.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #32
Orioles sent LHP Tucker Davidson outright to Triple-A Norfolk.
Davidson recently agreed to a one-year pact with the Orioles and will presumably stick around with the organization as extra pitching depth at Triple-A Norfolk. The 27-year-old lefty made 38 appearances this past season between the Angels and Royals. He was claimed off waivers last month from Kansas City.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #32
Orioles agreed to terms with LHP Tucker Davidson on a one-year contract.
The deal will surely be for little more than the minimum, but Davidson, who was claimed off waivers from the Royals last month, has to be happy with any guarantee after posting a 5.96 ERA in 51 1/3 innings last season. He still might find himself bounced from the 40-man at some point.
  • BAL Relief Pitcher #32
Orioles claimed LHP Tucker Davidson off waivers from the Royals.
Davidson, a former Braves prospect, had a 5.96 ERA and a 46/19 K/BB ratio in 51 1/3 innings over the course of one starts and 37 relief appearances for the Angels and Royals this year. His stuff isn’t what it was back in the days it looked like he might turn into a mid-rotation guy, and we’re not sure exactly what the Orioles see here. Most likely, the team will try to get him through waivers at some point.
  • KC Relief Pitcher #32
Royals acquired LHP Tucker Davidson from the Angels for cash considerations.
There’s zero fantasy fallout from the first trade on deadline day as Davidson was designated for assignment last week after making 18 relief appearances this season for Los Angeles. The 27-year-old southpaw will pitch in long relief for Kansas City over the final two months of the year.
  • LAA Starting Pitcher #32
Angels designated LHP Tucker Davidson for assignment.
The Angels made the move between games of the doubleheader so that they could activate Reynaldo Lopez for the second game. Davidson struggled in his first season in Los Angeles, which was also his first season as a reliever. In 31 2/3 innings, he pitched to a 6.54 ERA and 1.74 WHIP.
