Tobias Myers tossed five shutout innings and got a no-decision against the Mets on Thursday.
Myers allowed two hits, walked none and struck out five. He was somewhat curiously removed from the game after only 66 pitches. Nonetheless, the 26-year-old rookie was just as impressive during the regular season as he was in his brief playoff start. Myers heads into the offseason on a personal high note.

Tobias Myers picked up a win while throwing four scoreless innings against the Brewers on Saturday.
Myers worked behind an opener in Jared Koenig, and worked well. The 26-year-old gave up just one hit, didn’t walk anyone and struck out five. That lowers his ERA on the season — in what was assuredly his last appearance of 2024 — to 3.00, while improving his K/BB to 127/36 over 138 innings. Myers could work in a similar role in the Wild Card round against the Braves, Mets or Diamondbacks.

Tobias Myers allowed two runs on six hits in four innings in a no-decision against the Pirates.
This is the second start in a row where Myers has been limited to four innings as the Brewers limit his workload leading up to the playoffs. It’s shocking to say this given what Myers’ career had been coming into 2024, but the 26-year-old figures to be the Brewers’ second starter in their upcoming playoff series. The journeyman will end the regular season with a 3.09 ERA and 122:36 K:BB ratio in 134 innings. It’s hard to see how this carries over into 2025 given how much of Myers’ success is due to deception and weak contact.

Tobias Myers allowed three runs -- one earned -- in four innings in a loss to the Diamondbacks on Thursday.
Myers started out strongly with four scoreless innings, but things fell apart in the fifth. He gave up all three runs in that contest without giving up an out, and while there was an error, it’s safe to say Myers wasn’t at his best during that outing -- or at least that inning. Myers doesn’t have another start scheduled yet, but he probably will pitch against Pirates at some point next week.

Tobias Myers gave up four runs in six innings while picking up a win Saturday against the Diamondbacks.
Myers breezed through the first five innings, but then gave up two runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh in his final frame without getting an out. Even while giving up the (almost) handful of runs, he still exited with a 13-4 cushion. Myers wasn’t nearly as effective as he was last time out (6 IP, 1 ER, 11 SO), but still good enough to get the win with three strikeouts and no walks. He’s scheduled to face the Diamondbacks again next week, and he’ll take a 3.07 ERA into that contest.

Tobias Myers allowed one run in six innings and got the win in the Brewers’ 5-2 victory over the Rockies on Saturday.
Myers gave up four hits, walked one and struck out 11. The win was his seventh of the year. Myers has been outstanding for a good portion of the season. His 2.22 ERA since June 1st is third among starting pitchers. Myers has a 2.93 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 112 strikeouts in 120 innings on the season. The 26-year-old right-hander is set to face the Giants on the road next week.

Tobias Myers allowed three runs — two earned — over five innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Reds.
Myers struck out seven, but he was hit pretty hard, surrendering eight balls hit at least 100 mph, and he also walked four. In truth, he was pretty lucky to surrender just the two earned runs. As a five-inning pitcher struggling to get wins, Myers isn’t generally very attractive in shallow leagues right now. Still, he makes for a pretty good play this week, as he has a home start against the Rockies coming up.

Tobias Myers allowed three runs over five innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Giants.
Myers surrendered only two hits, but a pair of them wound up leaving the ballpark courtest of solo shits by Matt Chapman and Grant McCray. He generated only five swinging strikes and finished with a lackluster 24 percent CSW. The 26-year-old righty was on a roll coming out of last month’s All-Star break, but he’s struggled to work deep into has last couple outings, which might be a sign that he’s hitting a bit of a workload plateau. He’ll square off against the Reds on Sunday in a tough road matchup.

Tobias Myers allowed six hits and two runs along with five strikeouts in four innings against the Cardinals on Wednesday.
Myers wasn’t especially sharp in this one. He usually hangs around the edges of the strike zone, but let too many bleed over the middle here. The Cardinals made him pay for those mistakes and grinded out plenty of long at-bats that subsequently turned into long innings. Myers threw 89 pitches in four difficult pitches and was lucky to leave with only two runs on his ledger. Next up will be an intriguing two-start week, first against the Giants and then in Cincinnati to face the Reds.

Tobias Myers gave up four runs in 5 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Thursday.
Myers gave up eight hits, but to his credit, only one of those was for extra bases; a double allowed to Andy Pages. Outside of that the right-hander saw some dinks and dunks while giving up the four runs, but he also only struck out one batter in the outing. Myers will take a strong 2.81 ERA into a scheduled start next week against the Cardinals.
