Tim Salmon will have surgery to repair a torn left rotator cuff and biceps tendon after the season.
He will need 10 months of recovery time which could keep him from starting the 2005 season on time. Salmon has played with the injury for the past few months, which could explain in part, his horrible season to date. For the time being however, Salmon will continue to be the Angels’ right-handed part-time DH and outfielder. Don’t expect much in the way of performance from Salmon from here on in.
