Braves signed OF Skye Bolt to a minor league contract.
Bolt didn’t appear in the big leagues last year after signing with the Brewers, but got into 81 contests between the Athletics and Giants from 2019 to 2022. The 30-year-old outfielder figures to open the season at Triple-A Gwinnett.
  • HOU First Baseman #28
Brewers reassigned 1B Jon Singleton, INF’s Josh VanMeter, Eddy Alvarez and Andruw Monasterio and OF Skye Bolt to minor league camp.
There are some notable names with big league experience among the latest round of Brewers’ cuts including Singleton, VanMeter, Alvarez and Bolt. The quartet could wind up finding themselves in Milwaukee at some point this year, but will open the regular season at Triple-A Nashville.

Brewers signed OF Skye Bolt to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Bolt, 29, didn’t hit at all in brief looks with the A’s (.156/.205/.266 in 187 PA), but he’s come in at .313/.399/.526 in 650 career plate appearances in Triple-A. If he could carry over just a little of that success, he’d be a useful bench player, since he’s a switch-hitter and a solid center fielder.

Athletics activated OF Skye Bolt from the 10-day injured list; sent him outright to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Bolt is recovered from the right knee patella subluxation that sent him to the injured list in August, but he has now been pushed off the 40-man roster in Oakland. The 28-year-old outfielder holds a weak .156/.205/.266 career batting line across 187 total major league plate appearances.

Skye Bolt (knee) went 2-for-5 with three RBI on Sunday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Las Vegas.
Bolt has been out since late August due to a right knee patella subluxation, but appears to be getting close to rejoining the Athletics in a reserve outfield role.

Athletics placed OF Skye Bolt on the 10-day injured list with a right knee patella subluxation.
No word yet on how long the injury will sideline Bolt for, but with the end drawing near it’s always possible that he could miss the remainder of the 2022 season. The 28-year-old outfielder has hit just .198/.259/.330 with four homers, 13 RBI and five stolen bases in 116 plate appearances at the big league level this season.

Skye Bolt went 1-for-3 on Monday in his return to the Athletics’ lineup.
Bolt returned to Oakland’s lineup for Monday’s series opener against the Marlins following a two-game absence due to left knee soreness and finished with one of their three hits in a shutout loss.

Skye Bolt (knee) remained absent from the Athletics’ starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Mariners.
Bolt entered Sunday’s series finale as a defensive replacement in the eighth inning after missing Saturday’s contest due to left knee soreness. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern moving forward and there’s a chance he’s ready to go for Monday’s showdown against the Marlins.

Bolt was removed from Saturday’s lineup with left knee soreness.
Jonah Bride will play second as Tony Kemp shifts left field. Bolt has not been electric for the A’s this season as he was only hitting .204/.264.347 with four homers and five swipes across 106 plate appearances.

Ramón Laureano (side) is absent from the Athletics’ lineup Monday.
It’s no surprise that Laureano isn’t playing Monday after exiting Sunday’s contest with soreness in his left side. He has not been placed on the injured list yet, which is obviously a good sign. Skye Bolt will get the start in right field.
