Don’t be surprised if he rejoins the active roster when rosters expand on Sunday.

The 26-year-old hurler threw 1 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball during his time with the Padres, posting a 1.80 WHIP and a 3/1 K/BB ratio.

    He’ll take the place of the injured Wandy Peralta (groin) in the Padres’ bullpen. His first appearance with the Padres will be his big-league debut. The 26-year-old hurler holds a disappointing 6.55 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and a 60/31 K/BB ratio over 45 1/3 innings at Triple-A El Paso this season.

He’ll add bullpen depth for the Padres.
