Sawyer Gipson-Long experienced forearm soreness during a rehab stint and is being evaulated.
The 26-year-old right-hander has been working back from a left groin strain injury, so this new forearm injury could create more of a setback for him. The Tigers’ rotation, as is, made it tough for Gipson-Long to get in the mix, but he’s an arm that would create solid depth if the Tigers were to suffer another injury to their starting rotation.
