Multiple outlets report that Sandro Fabian has signed a three-year deal with the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in Japan.
Fabian, 26, made his MLB debut in 2024 with the Rangers, but was outrighted off the roster this fall. The outfielder reportedly received a three-year deal worth over $5 million. It’s a nice payday for a player that wasn’t likely to have a role on an MLB team in 2025, and a strong showing in Japan could see him return to the states in 2028.

Rangers optioned OF Sandro Fabian to Triple-A Round Rock.
Fabian is down with Ezequiel Duran off the paternity list. Fabian didn’t get a hit while playing in just three games and picking up five at-bats while with the Rangers. He’ll be organizational depth in 2025.

Rangers selected the contract of OF Sandro Fabian.
Fabian will replace Corey Seager (hip) on the active roster. The 26-year-old has forged an .805 OPS with 17 homers over his 501 plate appearances with Triple-A Round Rock. The Rangers could give him some looks to close out the year, but there doesn’t appear to be much fantasy upside for the remainder of 2024.

The Rangers reassigned OF Sandro Fabian and Elier Hernandez and C José Godoy to minor league camp.
This move now leaves Wyatt Langford and Derek Hill as the only non-roster outfielders left in Rangers camp. It’s more than likely than not Langford will get the nod for the Opening Day roster over Hill due to his impressive spring camp. Fabian will continue to develop at the minor league level where he posted a .854 OPS across 480 plate appearances for Triple-A Round Rock last season.

Rangers re-signed OF Sandro Fabian to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Fabian returns for another stint in the Rangers’ system after posting a solid .288/.331/.523 triple-slash line with 23 homers and six steals across 483 plate appearances for Triple-A Round Rock. The 25-year-old outfielder represents quality extra organizational depth for the Rangers heading into 2024.

Rangers re-signed OF Sandro Fabian to a minor league contract.
Fabian spent the first seven seasons of his career in the Giants’ minor league system before latching on with the Rangers last year. The 24-year-old outfielder batted .245/.313/.455 with 16 homers and two steals in 380 plate appearances last season between Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. He’ll continue to function as organizational outfield depth for the Rangers.
