The 34-year-old journeyman outfielder hit a robust .297/.409/.458 with five homers and seven steals over 186 plate appearances last season for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in New York’s system. He’ll serve as extra outfield depth this season for the Twins at Triple-A St. Paul.

    LaMarre returns to New York after appearing in nine games at the major-league level last season. The 33-year-old journeyman outfielder holds a pedestrian .232/.286/.350 triple-slash line with six homers and four steals in 270 plate appearances in the big leagues since 2015. He’ll provide the Yankees with some additional position player depth at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season.

    Ryan LaMarre smacked a solo homer Tuesday as the Yankees edged the Rays.
    LaMarre has been seeing some time in left field of late against lefties. He didn’t reach base in any of his three plate appearances versus lefty starter Shane McClanahan, but LaMarre took southpaw reliever Jeffrey Springs deep with two out in the top of the eighth inning. It proved to be the winning run as the Yankees held on.

    Ryan LaMarre delivered a pinch-hit, RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning on Wednesday, lifting the Yankees to a 6-5 walk-off victory over the Phillies.
    LaMarre came off the bench to lift a Ranger Suárez offering off the right-field wall to end the contest. The well-traveled 32-year-old outfielder has two hits in three at-bats for the Yankees over the last week. He’s a really fantastic story, but doesn’t carry any relevance for fantasy managers moving forward.

    The 32-year-old will take the place of Tim Locastro, who was placed on the injured list with a torn ACL on Sunday. LaMarre is 0-for-7 at the major league level this season but slashed .310/.403/.483 over 116 at-bats in Triple-A.
