The 25-year-old leads the California League with 47 RBI this year and is second with 14 home runs. He’s also third in total bases and fourth in slugging percentage. Diamondbacks 1B prospect Rudy Flores contributed four hits in Sunday’s win for High-A Visalia.
He plated four of Visalia’s season-high 19 runs. All four of them came on a second-inning grand slam. Flores leads the California League in RBI (32) by a pretty comfortable margin. He’s also second in the league in slugging (.642) and seventh in batting average (.342). The 25-year-old spent all of last year with Double-A Mobile and should be headed back there soon.
