Former Astros minor league reliever Ronny Garcia was killed in a car accident in the Dominican Republic, reports De Bánica’s Héctor Gómez.
Garcia’s father also died in the accident. Garcia, 24, was released in the offseason after seven years in the Astros system in which he had a 3.42 ERA while working primarily as a reliever.
