Renyel Pinto made his debut for Triple-A Iowa yesterday and allowed seven runs in 4 1/3 innings.
Pinto was 11-8 with a 2.92 ERA, 107 H and 179/72 K/BB in 141 2/3 IP for Double-A West Tenn. The 22-year-old lefty is one of the Cubs’ top pitching prospects, and it’s possible that he could arrive in the majors in the second half of next season.
