  • SF Relief Pitcher
Giants sent LHP Raymond Burgos outright to Triple-A Sacramento.
Burgos was called up June 24, made his major league debut that night, was sent down the next day and was DFA’d a day later. No one decided to claim him on waivers, even though he had a 1.64 ERA and a 23/2 K/BB in 22 innings as a reliever for Sacramento before his callup.

Giants designated LHP Raymond Burgos for assignment.
It has been a whirlwind couple of days for the 25-year-old southpaw, as he was promoted to the big leagues on Monday, optioned to Triple-A on Tuesday and now removed from the team’s 40-man roster on Wednesday. It seems likely that he’ll pass through waivers unclaimed and continue to function as bullpen depth for the Giants.

Giants optioned LHP Raymond Burgos to Triple-A Sacramento.
Burgos heads back to the minors with rookie Mason Black returning ahead of Tuesday’a game against the Cubs. The 25-year-old southpaw was called up earlier this week and made his big-league debut on Monday night.

Giants selected the contract of LHP Raymond Burgos from Triple-A Sacramento.
The 25-year-old Burgos will be making his major league debut. He had a 1.64 ERA and a 23/2 K/BB ratio in 22 innings while usually pitching two or three innings at a time in Triple-A. The Giants also figure to treat him as a middle reliever.
  • SF Shortstop #37
Giants optioned SS Marco Luciano to Triple-A Sacramento; reassigned LHP Raymond Burgos and RHP Jorge Guzmán to minor league camp.
The latest batch of cuts trims the Giants’ spring training roster to just 54 players. Luciano is working his way back from an offseason stress fracture in his lower back. Meanwhile, Guzman and Burgos will head to the minor league side of camp as extra relief depth.

Giants signed LHP Raymond Burgos to a minor league contract.
Burgos, 24, has spent the first four seasons of his minor league career in the Guardians organization. He has yet to pitch above High-A ball -- but did pitch extremely well there in 2022, registering a 2.08 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and a 67/22 K/BB ratio over 65 innings in 37 appearances. He could wind up progressing quickly through the upper minors and ultimately see time out of the Giants bullpen as soon as this season.
