Padres re-signed SS/OF Ray-Patrick Didder to a minor league contract.
Didder has spent a decade in the minors and has yet to reach the big leagues. The 29-year-old is capable of handling multiple defensive positions and also posted a respectable .805 OPS with 13 homers and 32 stolen bases across 392 plate appearances this past season between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A El Paso. He’s merely extra minor league depth at this stage of his career.
  • Padres signed OF Ray-Patrick Didder to a minor league contract.
Didder spent the first seven years of his career in the Braves’ organization before latching on with the Angels and Marlins for the last two seasons. The 28-year-old gives the Padres some upper-level minor league depth moving forward, but is unlikely to reach the majors.

  • Marlins signed OF Ray-Patrick Didder to a minor league contract.
Didder, 27, played with the Angels’ Double-A affiliate last year while slashing .240/.331/.380 with five homers and 16 steals over 96 games. He’s organizational depth.

  • Padres signed OF Ray-Patrick Didder to a minor league contract.
The 25-year-old spent the first seven seasons of his minor league career in the Braves’ organization. In 2019, he slashed .203/.332/.285 with four homers, 23 RBI and 28 stolen bases in 114 games at Double-A Mississippi. He’ll serve as outfield depth in the minor leagues for the Padres.
