Braves sent RHP Parker Dunshee outright to Triple-A Gwinnett.
The 29-year-old hurler was designated for assignment on Wednesday, but he made it through waivers unclaimed and will continue to serve as excess bullpen depth for the Braves. Dunshee made just one appearance with the Braves, posting a 19.29 ERA and 2.57 WHIP across 2 1/3 innings.

Braves designated RHP Parker Dunshee for assignment.
The Braves needed a spot on the 40-man for Michael Harris II, so Dunshee gets bumped five days after being optioned out. He has a nice 2.51 ERA and a 38/13 K/BB in 32 1/3 innings in Triple-A, so another team might want to add him to its bullpen.

Braves optioned RHP Parker Dunshee to Triple-A Gwinnett.
The 29-year-old hurler was with the big-league club for just one day — giving up five runs on four hits over 2 1/3 innings on Thursday. He’ll head back to Triple-A so the Braves can add a fresh arm before their series against the Rockies begins in Colorado on Friday.

Braves selected the contract of RHP Parker Dunshee from Triple-A Gwinnett.
Dunshee gets his first promotion to the big leagues as extra middle relief depth after signing a minor league pact with the Braves back in late February. The 29-year-old journeyman righty, who spent the last few years between the Giants and Athletics, posted a stellar 2.49 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 66/18 K/BB ratio across 47 innings (27 appearances) this season between Double-A Mississippi and Triple-A Gwinnett.

Braves signed RHP Parker Dunshee to a minor league contract.
Dunshee has yet to reach the majors and represents additional organizational pitching depth for the Braves entering the 2024 season. The 28-year-old righty spent last year in the Giants’ minor-league system after spending the previous six years with the Athletics.

Giants signed RHP Parker Dunshee to a minor league contract.
Dunshee was released earlier this month by the Athletics after spending six seasons in Oakland’s system. The 28-year-old righty, who was a seventh-round selection in the 2017 MLB Draft out of Wake Forest, posted a bloated 9.22 ERA, 1.76 WHIP and 92/56 K/BB ratio across 111 1/3 innings (31 appearances, 20 starts) last year for Triple-A Las Vegas. He’s merely extra organizational pitching depth for the Giants.

Parker Dunshee tossed two scoreless innings Tuesday versus the Brewers in his Cactus League debut.
Dunshee faced mostly regulars for the Brewers and fared well, permitted only a walk to Travis Shaw and adding a strikeout of Keston Hiura. The 26-year-old is more of a pitchability than stuff guy, but his results in the minors have mostly been terrific. He’ll have a shot to make some starts for the A’s this season.

Athletics RHP prospect Parker Dunshee fired eight scoreless innings with eight strikeouts on Sunday for Double-A Midland.
Dunshee allowed just two hits, and he walked one. A seventh-round pick out of Wake Forest, Dunshee has quickly risen up the Athletics’ prospect rankings, and has a real chance to be a starter in their rotation in the next couple of years. He isn’t overpowering, but he commands an average fastball, and he’ll mix in four more unique offerings at different times. He also throws all four of those pitches for strikes, and the command isn’t far behind the control. There’s not huge upside here, but Dunshee can stick around the back of a rotation for a while, and he could be a solid streaming option at some point.
