The New York Yankees have activated Masahiro Tanaka from the 10-day disabled list.
It was more than ten days lost for Tanaka, of course. Indeed, he ended up missing about a month after straining both of his hamstrings while running the bases in a game against the Mets. He’s worked back slowly, however, and now he’s ready to start, today in fact, against the Baltimore Orioles. Not a bad draw for your first game back, it must be said.
Tanaka is 7-2 with a 4.58 ERA and a K/BB ratio of 73/19 in 72.2 innings on the season.
