Today marks the 72nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor which brought the United States into World War II. Murphy’s Bleachers, a popular bar outside Wrigley Field in Chicago, decided to remember that tragic day with this unfortunate and tasteless sign:

The Chicago-Sun Times has another picture here, so it is confirmed to be real. I can’t imagine who would ever think that this was a good idea or anything close to clever, but here we are.
UPDATE: Murphy’s Bleachers has since taken down the sign and issued the following apology:
