The White Sox have signed pitcher Daniel McCutchen to a minor league contract and assigned him to Triple-A Charlotte, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
McCutchen, 31, made one appearance in the major leagues for the Rangers on April 4. He lasted 2 1/3 innings, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks without striking out a batter. With Triple-A Round Rock, McCutchen posted a 7.05 ERA with a 54/13 K/BB ratio and 22 home runs allowed in 60 innings across eight starts and seven relief appearances.
