Cubs starter Jake Arrieta hit a pair of homers last season, removing any doubt that he can rake after starting the first four seasons of his major league career in the American League. Arrieta showed off his hitting prowess again on Sunday, blasting a 442-foot two-run home run to left-center at Chase Field off of Diamondbacks starter Shelby Miller.

The measurement on the home run comes from ESPN Stats & Info.

Arrieta entered Sunday’s start -- his second of the 2016 season -- having pitched 29 consecutive scoreless innings. He last allowed a run in the eighth inning on September 16 against the Pirates last season. Paul Goldschmidt, however, ended the streak with a solo home run off of Arrieta with no outs in the fourth inning.
