Things look bleak for the Cubs as they head into Game 5 on Sunday evening, but if they pull off the historic comeback every fan in Chicago is hoping for, the city has some pretty wild celebrations in store.
The first order of business? According to the Chicago Sun Times’ Michael Sneed, the city will dye the Chicago River blue to commemorate the Cubs’ championship title. Chicago has a history of dyeing the river a bright, fluorescent green every March when St. Patrick’s Day rolls around, but this could be the first time they’ve done so in honor of a local sports team.
While blue is a more, uh, natural choice for the river, at least the city isn’t considering the Cubs’ other primary color.
