Back in April we learned that the Biloxi Shuckers, the Brewers’ Double-A team, was starting the season on a 55-game road trip due to stadium construction. It sounded like a death march. Tom Haudricourt of the Journal-Sentinel reports, however, that it hasn’t been that bad: the Shuckers are in first place with a 27-18 record.
He also reports, however, that the construction of the ballpark is behind schedule and that the Shuckers may have to play even more than 55 games on the road.
Poor Shuckers.
