Giants reliever Sergio Romo threw a bullpen Saturday and has been cleared to pitch in the Cactus League, Andrew Baggarly of the Mercury News reports. Romo was dealing with shoulder soreness early in camp.
Romo, who just turned 32 years old on Wednesday, posted a 3.72 ERA with a 59/12 K/BB ratio and 23 saves in 58 innings for the Giants last season. He’s expected to serve as the set-up man behind closer Santiago Casilla once again this season.
