Some good news from Los Angeles. The Minnesota Twins just announced that Hall of Famer Rod Carew, who underwent heart transplant surgery last night and into today has come out of surgery in good shape and is expected to make a full recovery.

Carew underwent a kidney transplant in addition to the heart transplant, it seems, and that too was successful.

Great news about one of the greatest of all time.
