Left-hander Cesar Ramos, who spent last season with the Angels, has agreed to a minor-league contract with the Rangers that includes an invitation to spring training.

Ramos was non-tendered by the Angels despite posting a 2.75 ERA and 43/15 K/BB ratio in 52 innings out of the bullpen and he has a career 3.70 ERA in 251 appearances through age 31.

He seems like a good bet to win a middle relief gig in Texas, but reportedly may also get an opportunity to compete for a rotation spot even though Ramos has made just 10 career starts in the majors.
