The Cubs announced this morning that speedster Quintin Berry has replaced the injured Addison Russell on their roster for the NLCS against the Mets. He’s the only change on Chicago’s roster from the NLDS.

Berry is strictly a pinch-running specialist. The 30-year-old has logged just 12 plate appearances at the major league level dating back to the start of the 2013 season, but he’s 32-for-33 in stolen base attempts in his career if you include the postseason. Cubs manager Joe Maddon will try to find spots to utilize his speed.

Javier Baez is set to serve as Chicago’s regular shortstop with Russell sidelined.
