I greatly appreciate the opportunity and privilege I had working for the past 12 years with the SF Giants organization. The decision to accept this new opportunity with the Boston Red Sox organization come from my own personal desire. It is a new challenge that requires great responsibility which will keep me motivated and passionate for this game that I love. (I am eager to make a positive contribution to the team and fulfill new goals during our career together.) To my fans in San Francisco: I will never forget our glorious memories together.
