When will the inflation ever end?
The Team Marketing Report said Friday that MLB’s average ticket price is $26.92 this year, up 1 cent from last season.
MLB ticket prices are roughly a third of those at NFL games ($77.36) and half of what the NHL ($57.10) and NBA ($48.48) teams charge.
The Red Sox continue to have the highest-priced tickets at $53.38, followed by the Yankees at $51.55. The Marlins, in their new ballpark, come in at $26.02, a league-high 35-percent increase from last year.
The Padres have the lowest-priced tickets at $15.67, with the Diamondbacks next at $15.74.
So, score one for the good ole U.S. of A. If we lived in Canada right now, we’d likely be paying $26.95.
