With a fifth inning, three-run home run against his former team on Tuesday night, Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera became the 50th player in baseball history to hit a home run against all 30 major league teams. The blast, off of Adam Conley, gave the Tigers a 5-3 lead.

Cabrera, 33, was signed by the Marlins as an amateur free agent in 1999 and remained with the team through the 2007 season. The Marlins then sent him to the Tigers along with Dontrelle Willis in exchange for Cameron Maybin, Andrew Miller, Burke Badenhop, Mike Rabelo, Dallas Trahern, and Frankie De La Cruz. Tuesday’s matchup was just the fifth time Cabrera faced the Marlins. He last faced the Tigers in 2004, but was able to register a home run in the three-game series.
Cabrera is hitting a terrific .295/.368/.529 with 17 home runs and 48 RBI in 334 plate appearances this season, though it’s a slight step back offensively for him compared to his previous numbers.
