The manager of Korea’s World Baseball Classic squad, In-sik Kim, kicked Pirates infielder Jung-Ho Kang off of the country’s World Baseball Classic club today, Yonhap News Agency reports:
Those issues are well-documented.
Kang was arrested last month after driving under the influence of alcohol, crashing his car, and fleeing the scene. It was his third such DUI since 2009, which results in immediate revocation of his driver’s license in South Korea. He’ll be indicted on drunk driving charges soon, Yonhap reports.
Last July, Chicago police investigated him after a sexual assault allegation. At this point it seems that charges are unlikely to result out of those allegations, as Chicago police have been unable to contact his accuser.
