Jimmy Rollins was apparently right about not needing a stint on the disabled list for his knee injury, because the Phillies’ shortstop is back in the lineup for tonight’s game against the Cubs.

Rollins was out of the starting lineup for the previous four games after an MRI revealed what the Phillies called a “deep bone bruise.”

General manager Ruben Amaro Jr. indicated that the DL would be needed if he didn’t show improvement, but Rollins was pretty adamant about not needing 15 days off, saying: “If I was going on the DL it would purely be because they just made a bad decision.”
