Cleveland Indians catcher Lou Marson looks over Minnesota Twins’ Jason Repko falls to the ground after getting hit by a pitch by Indians pitcher Justin Masterson during the sixth inning of a baseball game, Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, in Minneapolis. The Indians defeated the Twins 6-5. Repko left the game after being hit in the head. Jason Repko was hit in the helmet by a Justin Masterson fastball Sunday and has unfortunately joined Twins teammates Denard Span and Justin Morneau in suffering a concussion.

According to trainer Rick McWane “he had a CT scan and an MRI exam on his head and they both came back normal” and Repko hasn’t officially been ruled out for the season yet, but he won’t play again in 2011.

Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports that Repko has “been bothered by headaches and nausea.”

What a shame, although at least Span was able to return to the lineup and play five innings last night.
