The Indians are interested in free agent outfielder Nolan Reimold, MASN’s Roch Kubatko reports. Kubatko notes that Reimold nearly signed with the Orioles at the end of the winter meetings, but the deal fell apart and now the Indians appear to be the favorites to land him.

Reimold, 31, began the 2014 season on the disabled list with a neck injury and was brought along slowly at Double-A Bowie. In early July, the Blue Jays claimed him off waivers from the Orioles. The Diamondbacks claimed him off waivers from the Blue Jays at the end of August. All told, Reimold put up a .717 OPS in 78 major league plate appearances and a .902 OPS in his 69 plate appearances with Bowie.

Reimold has always had trouble staying healthy, but when he is in the lineup, he can usually be counted on for some power.
